Ward Sister To Cover Maternity Leave

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational Ward Sister to cover maternity leave to lead our inpatient nursing team. You will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and compassionate care, supporting both patients and their families during some of life’s most challenging moments.

You will:

  • Provide strong clinical leadership and management to nursing and support staff.
  • Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Promote professional development, reflective practice, and wellbeing among staff.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold hospice values in all aspects of care.

You will need to:

  • Demonstrate an interest in specialist palliative care
  • Display a kind, empathetic and person-centred approach
  • Be an effective communicator who is able to confidently engage people at all levels
  • Work well under pressure
  • Work as a team player
  • Provide innovative solutions
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Be a first level Adult Registered Nurse.
  • Have evidence of professional development.

Ideally have: A relevant qualification in Palliative Care

Management or Leadership qualification

A post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience in Palliative
